Did you know you can get a quality drone for under 100 USD? Looking for the best drones under 100 USD doesn’t mean you’ll end up with something that resembles a toy from a dollar store. In reality, there are a ton of decent, quality drones that will cost you less than 100 USD, are built to last, and will blow your mind.

Looking for a cheap drone is a great way to learn how to fly a drone if you’ve never flown one before, for example. You can actually get a drone that will learn and grow with you, so you never know what you’ll find when you invest 100 USD or more. Some of the drones I’m about to introduce you to are better than the more professional models, believe it or not!

Without any further introduction, let’s get to the good bits. In my review, I’d like you to remember that I’m going to be listing drones based on which are my top to my least favorites, so keep that in mind as you’re going through my review.

Altair Aerial AA108

If you’ve had a chance to go over the rest of my site, then you’ll know that the AA108 by Altair Aerial is one of my favorite quadcopters out there. It’ll only cost you $130, which is an extremely great deal for the amount of value you’re getting with it. Yes, that’s over our 100 USD budget, but believe me, this is one of the best cheap camera drones I’ve seen thus far.

Altair Aerial AA108 Tech Specs:

  • Uses a premium 720p HD camera with real-time video
  • Has a total flight time of up to 10 minutes, doubled by the second battery included for free
  • Features Headless Mode, Altitude Hold, Custom Route Mode, 3 Flight Skill Levels, Out of Range Alarm, Emergency Landing, Low Battery Alarm, 1-Button Takeoff and 1-Button Landing
  • Has a maximum transmission range of up to 100 meters
  • Takes a 3.7V 350mAh LiPo battery
  • What I love most about the AA108 by Altair Aerial is the fact that their customer service is sublime. A lot of drone manufacturers have a tendency to fluff their customers off, even though they’re the ones literally keeping these companies in business, so it’s nice to know Altair Aerial have their customer’s backs when there’s an issue with their drone.

What I’m not a fan of, unfortunately, is that it doesn’t come with a memory card. Although, the manufacturer recommends that you get a 4 GB microSDHC Class 10 UHS-1 memory card to suit the drone the best, which is nice, I suppose.

What I don’t like, however, is that it can be kind of a learning curve. Although, if you’re a beginner, this is actually a good thing! It’ll make transitioning to other drones an absolute breeze once you learn to handle this one.

    Hubsan H107L X4

For those on more of a strict budget than others, I highly recommend the H107L X4 by Hubsan. It’ll only cost you around $30, is a wicked quadcopter, and a personal favorite of mine where the best drones under 100 USD is concerned.

    Hubsan H107L X4 Tech Specs:

  • Has a very durable one-piece mainframe
  • Uses a 6-axis adjustable gyro stabilization system
  • Has brushless motors for quiet, stable flight
  • Uses a 2.4GHz transmission frequency with 4 channels
  • Takes a 1S 3.7V 240mAh LiPo battery
  • Features Stunt Mode
  • Able to be flown both indoors and outside because of the gyro and small size
  • Has a total flight time of up to 10 minutes
  • The range depends on the frequency between the transmitter and the quadcopter at the time of flight
  • I love how the H107L X4 by Hubsan is a powerful little quadcopter. It’s got an awesome set up going on for such a little guy, not to mention the small price tag to go along with it!

What I’m not loving is how there is no deadset range available until you actually fly the thing, which is why I’m going to let you know to proceed with caution before you make your buy. If you want a drone with a long flight range, this one may or may not be for you.

  • Uses a 2.4GHz transmission frequency

  • I love how the X5C by Syma focuses on the aspects of flying rather than use a ton of flashy features and all that. It really simplifies things and boils it all down to create an awesome, flight oriented best drones under 100 with camera.

What I don’t like is how long it takes to charge the battery, over an hour of time, which is quite a lot for only 7 minutes of total flight time.

    BLADE Nano QX BNF

The Nano QX BNF by BLADE is an awesome little drone coming in at the price of only $50. It’s got some serious technology on board that you’d think you’d only see in the more professional drones, so it’s quite a surprising nano drone.

BLADE Nano QX BNF Tech Specs:

  • Features SAFE Technology, Stability Mode and Agility Mode
  • Able to fly both indoors and outside due to its small size
  • Requires a 4+ DSMX or DSM2 transmitter (not included)
  • Uses potent brushed motors for a powerful and smooth liftoff into the air
  • Acts as a mixer, SAFE sensor, ESCs and DSMX receiver unit when paired with the proper transmitter
  • Takes an E-flite 1S 3.7V 150mAh 25C LiPo battery
  • Has a total flight time of up to 7 minutes
  • What I love about the Nano QX BNF by BLADE the most would definitely have to be the SAFE technology. It’s a great thing to have in any drone, especially with this one being so small and cheap.

What I don’t like is how it doesn’t come with a transmitter and that you don’t really know the range until you have one of either compatible transmitters with it to see how far you can really push it. Be careful when you do, you don’t want to damage it or break it.
